Indian Broccoli Fritters Recipe

A delicious recipe that has an Indian feel to it

A broccoli pakora recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup of broccoli florets
1 ½ cups of gram flour
2 dashes asafetida
½ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon red chili powder
½ teaspoon coriander powder
2 cups canola oil
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Recipe Instructions

Make the batter.
Mix the gram flour and spices together and slowly add the water until the batter is of a pancake like consistency.

Fry.
Heat the oil in a wok. Wash the broccoli and trim the stems. Coat each broccoli floret in the batter and drop it into the hot oil. Fry the florets in batches until they are a golden color.

Serve.
Drain the florets on a paper towel to remove any excess oil and serve while hot.
