How to Pickle Broccoli


A great way of preserving broccoli is by pickling it. It’s simply and easy to do but very delicious. Here’s how.

First, you will need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • 4 stalks of raw broccoli
  • 1 tsp of dill weed
  • 1 tsp of ‘accent’
  • 1 cup of cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 and ½ cup of cooking oil
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tsp of garlic salt
  • 1 tsp of salt

Put the broccoli stalks inside a clean pickling jar. Add all the ingredients in the jar and shake very well until all the salt and sugar have dissolved.

Refrigerate for 24 hours before serving. This is to ensure that all the flavors of the other ingredients have already been absorbed by the broccoli stalks.
