Broccoli with Onions and Olives Recipe

have a taste of Spanish culture with this broccoli side dish

A broccoli dish with a Spanish flavor.


1 lb fresh broccoli
1 dozen Spanish black olives, with pits
3-4 tablespoons virgin Spanish olive oil
1 medium onion
1 teaspoon Spanish paprika
8 oz dry white wine
Salt to taste

Recipe Instructions

Prepare the vegetables.
Trim the broccoli stalks to about 3 inches. Cut the broccoli lengthwise. Peel the onion and chop coarsely.

Heat a large frying pan over a medium heat and add the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté until brown. Add the broccoli and coat with the oil. Add the wine, paprika and olives. Cook on a low heat covered for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

Serve warm.
