Broccoli and Almonds Recipe

A delicious broccoli side dish that is partnered with almonds

A perfect recipe for either a starter dish or side dish.

Ingredients

1 kg trimmed broccoli
50 g flaked almonds
50 g butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Recipe Instructions

Cook.
In salted boiling water, cook the broccoli for 10 – 15 minutes.

Prepare the almonds.
Melt butter in a pan and add the almonds. Over a gently heat, cook the almonds until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Stir in the seasoning and the lemon juice.

Serve.
Drain the broccoli and transfer to a warm serving dish. Pour over the almond mixture.
